SymbiotiC began their twin flame journey in 2019, brought together by their passion for music and laughter. The members, Jessica Bobbe and Jared Vance, go by Silk and Cyan. Their sound has been compared to the likes of Eurythmics, Tori Amos,  Berlin, & Kraftwerk.
Silk began her singing journey as a star child, making sense of life through melodies and poems that would one day become songs. At a young age her singing abilities were discovered by her father. She began fine tuning with vocal professional Billy Purnell. Her soulful and haunting vocals are powerfully present to carry you through the emotion in every song. She previously produced her own singer/songwriter-style music, has recorded, written, and performed songs with rock band Interim Divine, and performed multiple times at NAMM.
Cyan began his musical journey learning classical and ragtime music under the guidance of Dennis Hamm. Growing up, the music of Frederick Chopin and Scott Joplin got his hands dancing on the piano. It wasn’t until he heard 80's hair metal that he was inspired to discover instruments beyond the piano. He briefly played some guitar and discovered electric distortion, which led him to finding his synthesizer, Sagittarius, tattooed on his left arm. Shortly after, he founded his first project, Star Blade, in Corvallis and Portland, Oregon & wrote the concept album, “Cuttin’ Through the Universe”. Which he performed at various venues & festivals.
As they began writing music together, Silk joined Star Blade for a few songs as Ivy Oak. Silk’s ability to write and perform powerful lyrics is especially seen in “Rising Sea Levels”. Once the album was released, SymbiotiC became Silk & Cyan's full focus.  They've not only put their creativity and collaboration  into making music, but as of 2020 found passion in telling stories through music videos. Some of their musical influences include Blondie, The Flaming Lips, Berlin, Human League, Led Zeppelin, New Order, & Scorpions. SymbiotiC are a duo built on a foundation of unconditional love and open minded-cathartic music. Home is wherever they park it as they travel in their RV bringing music to all the places they go.
